Ingredients

360 g Chicken thigh

Salt and pepper to taste

4 Carrots

2 Onions

1 tsp grated Ginger

2 cloves of Garlic

5 Potatoes

1 Apple

1 tbsp Honey

2 tsp Salt

1 tbsp Ketchup

Preparation method for Kare-Raisu

  1. Cut the chicken into pieces and season with a little salt and pepper.
  2. Peel and cut the carrot into rolling wedges and cut the onions into wedges. Grate the ginger and crush the garlic.
  3. Cut the potatoes into 3 cm pieces and let them soak in water for 15 minutes and rinse well.
  4. Heat 5 tbsp rice oil in a large saucepan over medium heat and saute the onions until translucent. Add the ginger and garlic.
  5. Add the chicken and cook until the chicken changes color, add the carrot and mix.
  6. Add the chicken stock and bring to the boil.
  7. Peel the apple and grate it coarsely, add it to the stock.
  8. Add the honey and salt and simmer uncovered for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  9. Then add the potatoes and cook for another 15 minutes.
  10. When the potatoes are ready, add the curry blocks, stirring well until the blocks are dissolved.
  11. Add soy sauce and ketchup and let it simmer for a while so that the curry thickens.
