Tofu Adobo

Ingredients

1 tablespoon of garlic

2 teaspoons brown sugar

2 tablespoons water

1 teaspoon cornstarch

Chive leaves for garnish

Preparation method for Tofu Adobo

  1. Fry diced tofu in oil until lightly golden brown. Drain on kitchen paper.
  2. In a sauce pan, combine the soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, bay leaves, peppercorns and sugar. Place the pan over medium-high heat and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Season to taste and add a little water if necessary to thin the sauce.
  4. Thicken the sauce with the diluted cornstarch before pouring it over the tokwa and garnish with some chive leaves.
