Ingredients

500 g Chicken thigh

2 Shallots

Salt & Pepper to taste

2 tbsp Lime juice

Preparation method for Xoi Ga

  1. Wash the glutinous rice and soak the rice for at least 2 hours. After soaking, drain the rice well.
  2. Steam the glutinous rice for about 15 minutes until it becomes soft and sticky. Make sure glutinous rice is neither too mushy nor too dry.
  3. Thoroughly clean the chicken thighs and cook the chicken until tender.
  4. Take out the chicken and let it cool.
  5. Pull the chicken into pieces (pulled chicken) with a fork or with your hands.
  6. Season the chicken with soy sauce, oyster sauce, pepper, salt and lime juice.
  7. To give the Xoi Ga even more flavor, we add shallot oil.
  8. Cut the shallots into thin slices and fry them in oil over high heat. Turn off the heat when the shallot turns golden brown.
  9. Place cooked glutinous rice on a plate. Add the chicken and sprinkle on top of the shallots with shallot oil.
